BetMGM Launches in Arizona on Time for NFL Opening Week
BetMGM has broken ground in Arizona to mark the 15th market in which the sports betting operator has gone live and right on time for the NFL’s first week. The launch, which took place last week, marks BetMGM’s continuous efforts to be recognized as a leading brand in the sports betting space and create a platform and product diversity to be reckoned with.
BetMGM Has a Strong Foothold in Arizona
Following its proven activation formula, BetMGM has teamed up with Gila River Hotels & Casinos and followed this one up with the Arizona Cardinals, a popular local NFL franchise.
Commenting on this launch, company CEO Adam Greenblatt had this to add: “We’ve built strategic partnerships with Gila River Hotels & Casinos and the Arizona Cardinals, two key players in the state, enabling us to create one-of-a-kind experiences for our Arizona customers.”
The brand is bringing both its mobile and retail sports betting product to residents in Arizona, with all three Gila affiliated properties slated to host a BetMGM Sportsbook each. Vee Quiva, Lone Butte, and Wild Horse Pass will launch retail products later this year, giving residents even more access to quality sports betting options.
Another sportsbook should arrive at State Farm Stadium, which is the Cardinals’ home stadium. Meanwhile, the app remains available for download on both iOS and Android devices, and the sportsbook features a range of wagers, from in-play to single bets to parlays and more.
Stacking up Benefits with M life Rewards
BetMGM will allow Arizonians to also benefit from the MGM Resorts M life Rewards, which is integrated with the operator’s hospitality alter-ego through MGM Resorts. As a result, any points earned through betting as part of the M life Rewards loyalty program are redeemable at MGM Resorts International’s properties in Las Vegas, New Jersey, Michigan, Mississippi, Maryland, and elsewhere.
BetMGM will continue to focus on providing Arizonian sports bettors with reliable betting options as well as focus on responsible gambling. Earlier in September, BetMGM reported two back-to-back market activation partnerships in Puerto Rico and Wyoming, reflecting the company’s broader ambition to continue on a growth trajectory.

Is this betmgm retail sports book similar to vegas where a bettor can go to the window and bet cash on the game. If the game wins then the person can collect winnings from same window ?. Also assuming we are allowed to bet a thousand or so, correct? Thank you if you can answer this question. I have not been able to get the answer about counter betting.
