Betcha Teams with FantasyGuru in Content Partnership Deal
Daily fantasy and sports gaming technology platform Betcha entered into a co-exclusive content partnership deal with FantasyGuru, a leading fantasy sports information provider, which owns a trio of websites.
‘Win-Win for Customers’
The content agreement reached between the operator of FantasyGuru.com, EliteFantasy.com, and EliteSportsData.com and Betcha comes with a match-up bonus of up to $100 for anyone who downloads the Betcha app and applies the code “elite”.
“We are thrilled to partner with FantasyGuru.com, EliteFantasy.com and EliteSportsData.com which have clearly created a leadership position in providing timely, relevant information and advice to fantasy sports players.”
Jason Shapiro, President, Betcha
Launched last year, the real money sports gaming platform Betcha offers its players the opportunity to engage with other fellow players while competing for cash prizes by predicting sports outcomes. Betcha’s social and gamification features position it among the leading platforms that provide sports gaming products.
“This partnership is truly a win-win for customers of both FantasyGuru.com and Betcha. The technology platform that Betcha provides is superior to anything currently on the market, and we are excited to partner with them to introduce these services and offerings to our customers.”
Rob Brink, CEO, FantasyGuru
Social and Gamification Features
Based on fully in-house developed, owned, and operated gaming technology, Betcha’s next-generation Daily Fantasy Sports app complements simple player props with enhanced social elements and gamification features, to attract a broad customer base and drive industry-leading unit economics.
“As the fantasy football season officially begins, we look forward to bringing the services and offerings of Betcha to every single customer of FantasyGuru.com, EliteFantasy.com and EliteSportsData.com.”
Jason Shapiro, President, Betcha
The technology platform’s in-built integration capabilities allow for easy integration with third-party providers of sports and casino content like the one provided by the NFL specialist FantasyGuru. The subscription-based service provides projections, stats, analyses, player rankings, and other useful tools, as well as regular podcasts and fan engagement via its social media channels.
Word-of-Mouth Customer Acquisition
Betcha utilizes a hybrid business model based on real money and free-to-play contests, and according to the company, it reached viral growth after 80% of its users joined via word-of-mouth or friend referrals keeping its customer acquisition costs low.
At the end of July, Betcha’s efforts to reimagine real-money gaming into an immersive experience received serious recognition, after a number of private investors helped it raise $4 million in angel financing.
Eyal Shaked, founder of 888 Holdings, Matt Davey, president and CEO of Nevada-based Tekkorp Capital, and Benjie Cherniak, managing director of Don Best Sports, were among the names that joined Betcha’s prior investors Sinai Ventures and Muse Capital.
