Kaizen Gaming’s sports betting and iGaming subsidiary Betano has expanded its footprint in Romania. The brand has inked a partnership deal with the Romanian Football Federation, the country’s soccer authority.

Betano Secures Romanian Cup Naming Rights

As per the agreement, Betano will receive naming rights for the next three seasons of the Federation’s Cup. Because of this, the tournament will be renamed Cupa Romaniei Betano.

Additionally, the Federation has teased that it will introduce a more dynamic and inclusive tournament format for the new season. The enhanced format will allow more games to be played, providing teams with more opportunities to prove their worth. This will also provide many more betting opportunities for Romanian punters and more exciting developments for sports enthusiasts.

The deal expands Betano’s presence in professional soccer. Over the years, the company has grown to have a significant presence in European and LATAM-based leagues and teams. This includes deals with Greece’s Olympiacos, Romania’s Universitatea Craiova and FCSB, Portugal’s Benfica, FC Porto and Sporting Lisbon and Brazil’s Atletico Mineiro and Fluminense among others.

Hernando added that Kaizen remains committed to supporting Romanian sports and is glad to expand its footprint in the country.

Răzvan Burleanu, the president of the Romanian Football Federation is glad to receive Betano’s support in such a crucial moment. As the league evolves, it will need more support moving forward, Burleanu said.

Speaking about how Romanian soccer will change, Burleanu explained:

By implementing a new, modern, competitive format, one that is much more attractive and more dynamic, we expect to improve the level of play and strengthen the clubs’ relationships with their supporters. I am sure that in the coming years, the support of our new main partner will contribute to the growth of this popular event.

Meanwhile, Betano has been maintaining a steady presence in the LATAM region. In December, the company teamed up with Atlético Mineiro from the Brazilian soccer championship. Following that, the two released new NFT collection that allowed lucky fans to earn real-life experiences. Two months prior to that, the sports betting company expanded its presence in Chile via a deal with Deportes La Serena.
