Alberta Launches Regulated Sports Betting with NeoPollard, Sports Solutions

NeoPollard Interactive LLC, Sporting Solutions and Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) have teamed up to provide Alberta, Canada’s residents with leading sports gambling solutions in a safe and regulated environment.

Comprehensive Sports and Gambling Products Come to Alberta

Alberta is now a sports betting province, as the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) officially launched the namesake Play Alberta platform on Wednesday. This effectively allows local residents to finally enjoy a full-functioning online gambling website close to home.

With the NFL just around the corner, Alberta is now all ready to welcome and accept interactive wagers on a range of sports, including the NHL, NBA, NFL and MLB, as well as European soccer and NCAAF and NCAAB.

Commenting on these developments, AGLC president and CEO Kandice Machado welcomed the opportunity to expand the website’s gambling entertainment options by featuring great sports betting markets that are fed back to consumers in a safe and regulated environment.

NeoPollard Welcomes Sports Betting in the Province

To provide players with full-service betting, AGLC has tapped NeoSphere Interactive LLC and will use its NeoSphere iLottery platform. It will also use B2B sports betting supplier Sporting Solutions’ Advanced Betting Platform, and both of these are now leveraged together to power regulated gambling in the province.

NPi has already worked with AGLC in the past to help the province’s regulator launch a dedicated digital lottery, instant games, virtual and live dealer table games and slots.

NeoPollard Interactive general manager Liz Siver welcomed the news as well and explained how the company ensures that its products and services improve the overall experience. “NPi continues to expand and enhance our products and services in order to give Albertans a unified online gaming experience across lottery, casino, and now sports betting,” Siver stated.

NPI is able to provide AGLC with a 360-degree solution and a state-of-the-art technology that empowers the entire sports betting offer. “We are proud to now offer a state-of-the-art sports betting program in conjunction,” she added.

Sporting Solutions CEO Andy Wright was equally pleased with the developments and said that the company was excited to be launching the province’s first regulated sportsbook in conjunction with AGLC and NPi. He asserted, “With the recent legalization of single-event wagering in Canada, this is the ideal time for Play Alberta’s launch. We are confident that our technology and sports betting expertise will bring a dynamic and compelling offering to Albertans.”

Proceedings from gambling go to the General Revenue Fund, which is then used for various social causes and initiatives.
