Ak-Chin Indian Community Teams up with Fubo Gaming in Arizona

The Ak-Chin Indian Community has become one of the latest to enter the upcoming sports betting industry in Arizona. The tribe has secured the necessary license, which will allow it to expand its current product offering beyond casino gambling and feature mobile sports betting anywhere in Arizona.

As part of this license agreement, the Ak-Chin Indian Community has reached out to Fubo Gaming Inc., the interactive sports wagering division of Fubo TV, to get an early start. Fubo TV has driven significant efforts over the past months to position itself as a leading provider of in-play and pre-game betting markets, and an on-demand sports streaming platform and tech company.

Sports Betting Arrives at AZ Online and In-Person

Ak-Chin chairman Robert Miguel is confident in the success of the partnership and its significance. “This is a tremendously exciting day for the entire Ak-Chin Indian Community,” Miguel added. He further explained the benefits that sports bettors stand to gain from the tie-up:

“With this sports betting license and our strategic partnership with Fubo Sports, we know we’ll be able to offer our customers the kind of premier entertainment experience they’ve come to expect from Ak-Chin, whether they visit our sportsbook in-person or online.”

A total of 10 sports betting licenses have been made available to the state’s 22 tribes, which has put some of them at odds with the governor’s office. The Yavapai-Prescott Indian Tribe has even questioned the validity of the sports gambling industry and has filed lawsuit to challenge the launch date on September 9.

Unlocking Arizona with Fubo Gaming and FuboTV

Fubo Gaming has welcomed the news with equal excitement. Company president Scott Butera was happy to be teaming up with Ak-Chin to unlock the promising Arizonian sports entertainment market. He believes that consumers in the state will get access to a seamless user experience.

“Arizonans are passionate professional, and collegiate sports fans who we believe will enjoy the market-defining Fubo Sportsbook,” Butera added. The sportsbook can now officially launch sign-ups despite a looming lawsuit.

Meanwhile, PlayUSA has predicted that the current football season may drive as much as $20 billion in total wagers.
