AGA President and CEO Bill Miller said that all three women will be in charge of core organizational functions at a critical time for our industry. Miller highlighted their crucial role in overcoming the challenges that the association has faced in 2020 and said that they will be essential for the sector’s recovery in the upcoming months.
Professional Background and Current Roles
During her time in AGA, DeBaun has worked on initiatives related to the industry’s commitment to responsibility. She has played a key role in the Responsible Marketing Code for Sports Wagering, which sets out three main points. They consist in respecting the legal age for sports betting, supporting responsible gaming via restrictions on ads and making sure that digital media and websites adhere to this code as well.
DeBaun created the Have a Game Plan. Bet Responsibly public service campaign, and has served as head of the Responsible Gambling Collaborative and the association’s Responsibility Committee. The first mobile sportsbook operator to join the Have a Game Plan. Bet Responsibly campaign was FanDuel.
Jessica Feil has previously worked as an associate at Ifrah Law, where she had responsibilities in the area of litigation, regulatory compliance, and licensing for gaming companies.
In her current role at AGA, Feil promotes gaming industry objectives in state capitols and with regulatory bodies around the country. She also manages AGA’s payments modernization working group, which aims to evaluate the regulatory, processing, and consumer landscape related to introducing digital payment options in casinos.
According to the association, digital payments will help customers track their gaming limits and will provide transparency in terms of anti-money laundering. Feil also leads the state affairs working group, and NextGen gaming policy groups.
