The 2022 Xfinity 500 is the final race of the Round of 8 of the Playoffs. It’s run on Sunday afternoon at Martinsville Speedway in Ridgeway, Virginia, which is considered a kind of short concrete track. Because it’s only 0.2566 miles long, it’s no surprise that the drivers need to make 500 laps in this race, thus covering a total of 263 miles.

Martinsville Speedway is the kind of racetrack that some drivers love and some hate. Chase Elliott, the no.1 favorite to win the 2022 Xfinity 500 is one of those who love it. The evidence is that he’s already won it two years ago.

Speaking of past winners, Denny Hamlin is the only active driver who’s won it more than once. He’s currently the second favorite to triumph on Sunday.

Top 2022 Xfinity 500 Favorites

Chase Elliott is the driver with the shortest odds ahead of the 2022 Xfinity 500. The no.1 reason is that he’s one of the best drivers on concrete who’s got some pretty nice memories from races held at Martinsville Speedway.

He won the Xfinity 500 race two years ago, while also doing very well in the other NASCAR race run on this speedway – the Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 400. In the race held earlier this year as a part of the NASCAR regular season, Elliott finished 10th, but he did have a lead in the first three stages (before a pit road infraction).

It’s a similar story when it comes to the no.2 favorite to win the 2022 Xfinity 500, Denny Hamlin. He’s a two-time Xfinity winner (2009, 2010) who also has three Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 400 wins in his portfolio (2008, 2010, 2015).

All this sure seems impressive, but the reason why Hamlin isn’t the man with the shortest 2022 Xfinity 500 odds is that he hasn’t been too impressive this season. In fact, he’s won only two races so far in the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series.

2022 Xfinity 500 Prediction

We just have to go with Chase Elliott. He’s arguably the best driver in the 2022 season, who seems to love driving races like the Xfinity 500. Plus, the son of legendary Bill Elliott also seems to do great under pressure.

The evidence of this is that he’s finished two times on the podium already since the start of the Playoffs. We think the same will happen again. In fact, we believe that he’s going to finish at the top of the podium this Sunday.

Pick: Chase Elliott to win the 2022 Xfinity 500 race.
