2022 AT&T Byron Nelson Odds, Time, and Prediction
The 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson is a sort of dress rehearsal for elite golfers before the PGA Championship. The event tees off Thursday, May 12 from TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas. The entry list looks very impressive, with the world no.1 Scottie Scheffler headlining the event.
Scheffler is seen as the favorite to win the 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson, followed by Justin Thomas. The two are the only golfers who are given odds shorter than +1000. This, however, doesn’t mean someone else cannot cause a surprise. Will Zalatoris, Xander Schauffele, Dustin Johnson, and many other golfers have high ambitions for this tournament.

Scottie Scheffler Favored to Win
Scheffler didn’t get to the top of the list of the World Golf Rankings by accident. He’s a fantastic golfer, who’s been great in 2022. This season, he’s already won the WM Phoenix Open and Arnold Palmer Invitational. On top of that, Scheffler also won the 2022 Masters in April, three strokes ahead of Rory McIlroy.
His most recent event – the Zurich Classic of New Orleans – didn’t see him do too great. The American finished tied 18th in the event in which he was teamed up with Ryan Palmer. The two were sitting in the #3 position in the list of the favorites ahead of the tournament.
Can Someone Ruin Scheffler’s Plans?
Justin Thomas is seen as the second favorite for the 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson, even though he’s without a PGA Tour win this season. This, however, doesn’t mean he’s been out of shape in 2022. On the contrary, this year, he’s finished in the #3 place at Valspar Championship, as well as at the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba.
Will Zalatoris is another golfer who seems capable of winning the event this weekend. He’s without a PGA Tour win in his career but his form seems to be improving all the time. This season, he’s finished in the top 10 in six tournaments. This includes the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, where we saw him finish in tied fourth place.
2022 AT&T Byron Nelson Prediction
Scottie Scheffler is the betting favorite for a reason. The guy sure has the talent to win one such tournament, not to mention that he’s got the motivation to do well after failing in his previous tournament.
Pick: Scottie Scheffler
